All aspects of design, manufacturing and assembly are done in the USA. Rex Supply makes their Ambassador razor from marine-grade stainless steel, and this razor will last generations. The Ambassador has six settings plus half settings, the higher the number you dial-up to, the closer your shave will be.Each razor has its own serial number which is laser etched on the underside of the baseplate. Additionally, each razor is date coded. (Rex has adopted the old Gillette dating system: 2018 = N, 2019 = O, 2020 = P and R = 2021.) The Ambassador has a very low profile head compared to old Gillette adjustable such as the Slim and Fatboy and the Merkur Progress and Parker Variant. This is a real benefit as shaving under the nose and sideburns is so much easier with an Ambassador compared to its rivals.
