As she explains, the next challenge was to add longevity to the Lemon Blossom fragrance: “Citrus notes are extremely volatile and don’t last on the skin. It’s up to us perfumers to find a way to make them linger. That’s the role of the elegant base provided by Virginian cedarwood, white amber, and white musk. As the fragrance wears, it becomes sweeter and fruiter – you begin to pick up the sweet warmth of jasmine and the crisp green apple. For an EDT, Fleur de Citronnier lasts really well, due to the cedarwood, musk and amber in the base. We get a good 6 hours out of this fragrance on the skin! We all know it’s difficult to make a citrus last, but the addition of fruit, florals and musks in the base together elongate the wear of Fleur de Citronnier impressively. It’s fresh, optimistic and uplifting, and we think would be an awesome layering fragrance, but it definitely stands up by itself!
